Jacqueline Patchwork Madras Shirtdress

I was missing my old madras dress from the 90s-from another brand—and tried a few from all over but this one finally hit the mark! Cute, lightweight, flattering fit, everything I wanted! I’m going to get another!

This dress is very cute and summery. Cant wait to wear it…it seens to run a little large.

High quality, adorable colours, perfect fit, but I sized up to a 8. I’m a classic M.

I love this dress! I’ve only had it for a few days and I’ve already received dozens of compliments.

The madras itself is stitched well, breathable and light. The bias cut skirt has excellent drape and movement, while the torso has adequate space to cover your chest without having to worry about gapping between the buttons when you move.

The only thing of note is that the lighting in the photographs on the listing do impact the colors of the fabric making it appear more vibrant than it is in life. I personally was expecting brighter, yellows, blues, and reds, but in my particular garment, the plaids were skewing tan, black,and navy which was a bit of a surprise for me. Definitely something I would keep in mind when selecting which of the Madras patchwork plaids you select!

I love the Montauk Madras shirt dress I purchased. I wish I ordered a size 6, because the 8 was a little too roomy in the waist. I am normally a 6. But I hope it will shrink in the dryer. The fabric is high quality, heavy, but still light enough for summer. The colors are more muted than the online picture like everyone says. But I prefer this. The muted colors look more elegant and fit me better. Perfect happy summer dress vibes!
