I want to start by reminding people KJP sweaters used to be made of 100% natural fibers. Then suddenly it became a blend. Now? They’re sneaking in crappy acrylic sweaters at virtually the same cost. I think it’s very telling that unlike their other sweaters this one didn’t include the fabric content in the description. It simply says “wool acrylic blend”. Wool being first suggests that the bulk of said blend will indeed be wool (other blends are 80% wool, 20% acrylic), that’s not the case here. This sweater is 70% acrylic and 30% wool. How is this legal? The company is deliberately trying to mislead the consumer by omitting the percentages, leading with wool, and having the percentages available only on their mostly wool items.
I firmly believe this was a test to see if people would notice. I tried mine on and it looked cute but felt weird. I couldn’t shake the feeling and that’s when I checked the tag and discovered the deception. Of course by that time I’d taken the tags off and I couldn’t return it anymore. So heed my warning. Do not buy unknowns. If you get in a misrepresented item return it. I stopped buying their button downs and similar dresses due to massive fit issues (no human is creating those patterns). After my last skirt purchases I decided not to buy more of those too. Looks like I’m scaling back and possibly never again buying sweaters from this company too. Too much of what I buy gets returned these days. I’m getting fed up.
