Winter Hearth Flannel Ruffle Skirt

These ruffles! I was twirling around my kitchen doing chores and enjoying how pretty I felt in this skirt. I got an extra small (hips 37”, waist 27”) but I wish I would have gotten a small since the wrap is completely loose and not fixed on the waistband. Would have gotten me a little extra room to close the skirt when I sit down. But super happy with it!

This was my first order from KJP and the quality is beautiful! Though I’d rather not have the pockets, controversial I know, it is such a pretty flannel & fits great. Would also like to note that the details in the packaging are the best I’ve seen in a while. Will order again.

The fabric is great and washes well, although the colors are darker and duller than the pictures, but it's still very cute. The size 14 is supposed to have a 17.5" waist but it's only 14 inches. It's completely adjustable, but it doesn't tie at the right spot and when I sit down, the skirt opens entirely. I'm going to safety pin it to prevent this and keep it because it's so cute for the holidays.

This is a lighter weight flannel wrap skirt. I did order up a size as I believe this brand runs small and close to body and some of us have curves. Adjust accordingly. Often I order up 2 sizes so be aware based on your body type. I knew I wanted more fabric and frankly could not order anything but the largest size. I am normally a 12-14 in pants but order 16/XXL often in this brand for room. I was a little disappointed this is a true wrap skirt so technically there's a risk of showing off your underwear if it swings open. That being said it makes the sizing more accessible because you are adjusting it to your body which is nice if you need more room in the waist or hips - you simply tie it where you need it. No zipper or too tight fit or bulge possible here. It makes this skirt more appealing for fit/reduces return risk.
Love the print and the ruffle. It's not too long for us short ladies.
Overall pleased. I am somewhat disappointed the thickness of the flannel in this brand seems to be getting thinner and a little cheaper feeling based on older items I purchased. That seems to be the trend in cloth - doesn't take long for quality to go down and for items to feel thinner. But in a skirt perhaps you don't want a thick material so it has more flow. Love the fall/winter vibes. Seasonal and lovely.

This soft, lightweight flannel for fall/winter is perfect for the entire season! It's super versatile, and the tartan plaid colors work from Thanksgiving to Valentine's Day and beyond.
