Jacqueline Patchwork Madras Skirt

Beautiful summer skirt, very light and comfortable. Love the colors

I ordered the skirt and I love it but so far the tags are still on and I have not worn it because instead of being an 18 it’s more like a size 14 or even 12 I believe the sizing is very off.. I am normally a 16/18.

This is a classic madras wrap skirt, looks like what was worn in the 1970’s! I bought a size 4 , am normally a size 6, but bc it’s a wrap design there’s plenty of fabric to wrap around your waist. Like other reviews have said, you need to figure out how to secure the front of the skirt bc it flaps open and exposes too much leg. I am using a large safety pin hidden in the folds of the fabric around mid thigh length and it works fine. When you sit down you just need to be aware of any gap. The color is true vibrant madras (bright reds/blues/greens/yellows/white) and is not a faded out madras look like some of the other KJP clothing items. I am wearing it with a fitted navy top, straw wedges, and a Nantucket basket bag. The outfit is adorable and classic New England.

The fabric is lovely, but the skirt splits apart in front as the wrap is shorter where it meets and shows too much unlike regular wrap skirts that the skirt part under the top wrap goes to the side seam. The photos do not show this. So I will have to sew some snaps to prevent it from opening all the up to my panties.

There is truth to the existing reviews about the mismatch of product to photo, and of quality to expectations. The photo reads as navy blue/americana colorway, but in reality reads very dull, with harvest like colors (am almost tempted to think it is a wrong item shipped) and sizing is very off. Despite usually the flexible nature of wrap items - the proportions of this are off. These are all noted in previous comments - the fact thta there have been no quality checks on inventory, and that customers are getting charged $7 to ship and $13 to return, seems very off. Would like to see KJP step in to help remedy the situation and inconsistency. This is an overall bummer for KJP.
