Newport Chino Pants in Tan

Fit was good and true to size, soft fabric and quality embroidery. Can dress these chinos up for a party or dinner, or casual with a t-shirt.

Perfect Style

I've washed/dried them a few times before hemming them.
There's some shrinkage in the length, but not the crotch or waist, so the rise may a bit too much.
They run about one inch larger than the stated size. I've found this with the other two pairs I've bought.
The zippers present the problem: The pull tab doesn't stay aligned in the lug, where it's attached to the slider, so it doesn't slide, up or down, easily, and the tab tends to get stuck under the overlapping fly material when at the bottom.
Those are secondary, however. The weight and quality of the fabric is top notch. The cut in the legs is roomy, with a very slight taper below the knees.
This color, which is probably somewhat different from pant to pant, is a terrific shade for summer, even if you're not at "the club" or out on the water.

I've been looking for 100% cotton white chinos for a long time.
These have a soft hand even before washing.
The legs are slightly tapered below the knee, making them easier to cuff, and more comfortable, in summer heat, than the usual stove-piped trousers.
I have also purchased khaki chinos and the New England Reds.
