As someone who typically wears a women's size 10/12 and prefers a longer, slightly oversized fit, I opted for the men's XL in this sweater, and I’m so glad I did. The length is perfect for that cozy, cabin-weekend vibe I love, though I do cuff the sleeves for a more tailored look, as they are a bit long.
Visually, it’s a fall classic with warm tones, charming details, and just the right amount of seasonal flair. The pumpkin motif and Fair Isle detailing are lovely without being overdone. It’s not quite as soft out of the box as some of KJP’s higher wool content sweaters, but I gave it a gentle cold-water wash with fabric softener and dried it flat. It softened beautifully and held its shape, although I’ll note the tag says “dry clean only,” so proceed with caution if you try this method.
Overall, this sweater will be a seasonal favorite. It’s adorable, comfortable, and now perfectly soft. If you’re between sizes or prefer a relaxed silhouette, consider sizing up, or, like me, opt for the men’s version.
