Went back and forth over ordering this dress and wish I did sooner! Arrived quickly and packaged very well. Fit is great (I followed the size chart) and fabric is soft and comfortable. I look forward to many wears of this dress.
I pre-ordered this dress, and in the meantime ordered another KJP long flannel dress (Wellesley Creek "WC"). The WC dress came first, and it was an overall huge hit. That's why when this Apple Cinnamon ("AC") finally arrived and I tried it on, it was disappointing. Firstly, in comparison this AC dress is notcieably shorter in length in the same size (size 10) than the WC dress. According to the KJP website AC should have been longer at 56'' and the WC dress is 55''. This is just not the case. The dress length ends a good 5 inches above my ankles. Disappointment #1. THEN, I didn't realize it until I was going through reviews but another reviewer mentioned the pocket placement on this AC dress being awful. IT IS AWFUL! If you are bottom heavy or pear-shaped these pockets will only accentuate your unflattering saddlebags. If you are a stick figure, this may help you appear to have hips albeit very triangular hips. It's bad enough that I am actually thinking about ripping the pockets out and adding a 3-5 inch hem line to the bottom so it's doesn't end so high above my ankles. It's just an awkward/unflattering length for me (it will still show skin if you wear it with a high-top bootie). Disappointment #2. And now, something good....I will say that while my chest does not fit into the other WC dress, my chest actually successfully buttons in this dress without looking like I'm about to burst out (I'm a 32 DDD). So my range of motion on my upper-half is great, but now I just feel like I look like an oompa-lumpa even though I'm super comfortable and warm. I love this look. I love the much nicer AC belt. I love KJP dresses in general, and I have purchased a lot of KJP clothing, but I don't know what I'm going to do with this dress. I hate the length and the pocket placement. I'm not sure it's worth my time to try and fix myself or return it. :(
I love this dress. At 5’ 3”, I worried that this dress would be too long but it was perfect, hitting about mid calf. The cut is very flattering and the flannel is so soft and warm. I’m looking forward to wearing this dress all winter with tall boots underneath.
This dress is so cozy and well made. The sleeves are actually long enough too! Super comfortable and I will get years of wear out of this. I do agree with other reviews that the colors are not as bright and bold as in the images online.
Love this dress! I’m a little shorter.. 51 so U will take up the hem but it’s a great dress! Comfy and well made!
