Let me preface this with, I have a lot of trouble with the women's sizing. I find it usually runs small, sometimes one size, sometimes two (recently purchased a dress, similar style to one I had purchased before, bought one size up like I did before, and still one of the buttons on the chest are gaps. sigh) The men's sizing is much more accurate to what I buy from other brands and stays pretty consistent. For these short, I read the sizing, kind of went back and forth on if I should size up (usually the size chart doesn't really help) but since it was an elastic band decided to order my regular size. Thank God I did, the madras shorts actually run large, I didn't want to deal with the hassle of a return, so I kept them, I just have to roll the waist band. Other than size, the shorts are great, beautiful colors, comfortable fabric, pockets, the perfect summer shorts. But would definitely recommend sizing down if you are on the borderline.
Super comfortable & looks adorable with the matching tops I possibly could have gone down a size, but they still fit well. As usual, great product, well made, and the best packaging.

These shorts remind me of my brother's Bermuda shorts, growing up. I always tried to steal them, now I have my own, but girly. I love them.
I bought the men's Madras short and they actually work and you can roll up the cuff to adjust the length. I saw that they had women's shorts back in stock so I ordered these. I do not think pleats in addition to a cut that widens at the cuff of the short is flattering. There is so much fabric this looks like a skirt. I'm a size 6 which is what I purchased and I think a 4 would have been better
